Bathroom Renovation · Delhi NCR
Most bathroom renovations in Delhi go wrong for the same reason: waterproofing is done cheaply, the tile sequence is wrong, and the fittings are chosen last. We reverse all three.
Re:Room has renovated attached bathrooms, master baths, and guest bathrooms across Delhi NCR — from compact 50-sqft DDA flat bathrooms to 200-sqft master suites in South Delhi villas. Every renovation starts with waterproofing done to IS code, tiles planned for the room's dimensions rather than whatever was left in stock, and fittings from Kohler, Jaquar, or American Standard specified before the first tile is cut. We give you a start date, a handover date, and a bathroom that doesn't leak.

Four scenarios — one common next step.
Your attached bathroom has been leaking into the bedroom wall for two years. You've had it patched three times. The last contractor sealed the visible crack and disappeared. You know the waterproofing needs to be done properly — from the slab up — and you want someone who will do it once and stand behind it.
Or you've taken possession of a new 3BHK. The builder's bathrooms are functional in the way that a waiting room is functional — they work, but they feel like no one designed them. The tiles are generic, the fittings are second-tier, and the lighting is a single overhead bulb. You want an attached bathroom that feels like you chose it.
Or your master bathroom is the one room in the house you actually want to feel good in. Everything else got done during the renovation. The bathroom was deferred. It's been two years. You're done deferring.
Or you're selling the flat. The bathrooms are the one thing every buyer notices first. You want a surface renovation — new tiles over existing, new fixtures, new lighting — without breaking the slab.
These are not hypothetical. They show up in projects we inherit from other vendors and in spaces rushed to a budget.
The single most common cause of bathroom failure. Wall putty is not waterproofing. Waterproofing done to tile-line height, not ceiling, still lets the upper wall absorb moisture. We waterproof to IS 3067: floor plus walls to ceiling in wet areas, 6-inch turn-up in dry areas, and a 24-hour water test before any tile goes down.
A 24×48-inch tile looks spectacular in a showroom. In a 50-sqft bathroom it produces almost no full tiles, maximum cut wastage, and grout lines in strange places. Tile size and orientation must be chosen after measuring. We do a tile layout drawing for every bathroom before ordering.
The shower position, basin height, and WC placement determine where the plumbing stub-outs go. Changing these after tiling is expensive and messy. We specify fittings before any civil work begins — which is the only sequence that makes sense.
An electric geyser needs a dedicated circuit, an MCB, and clearance from the showerhead. A gas geyser needs a gas line and ventilation. We have seen geysers installed as visible afterthoughts dangling over mirror cabinets. We plan geyser placement — and its electrical circuit — on paper, before the walls go up.
Delhi's climate means bathroom humidity has nowhere to go without mechanical ventilation. An exhaust fan needs to be ducted to the outside — not into a ceiling cavity where it makes the false ceiling damp. We plan the duct route as part of the design.
Often caused by the wrong products. We specify epoxy grout for wet areas — it does not absorb mould. We specify neutral-cure silicone at junctions. We also show you how to clean it so it stays clean.
Civil, waterproofing, tiling, fittings, electrical, false ceiling, and finishing — handled as one coordinated scope.
Scope 1
Full or partial tile breaking depending on scope, slab preparation, waterproofing membrane application (Dr. Fixit or Sika, IS 3067 compliant), wall plastering where required, and tile bed preparation.
Scope 2
Floor tile laying with correct falls towards the drain, wall tile laying with pre-planned layouts, tile trim and edge finishing, grouting with specified grout colour. We provide a tile layout drawing for every bathroom before ordering materials.
Scope 3
Supply and installation of WC (wall-hung or floor-mounted), washbasin with pedestal or vanity, shower area or bathtub where applicable, faucet sets, shower system, towel bars, and accessories. Kohler, Jaquar, American Standard or Grohe specified by brand and model in the BOQ.
Scope 4
Geyser point with dedicated MCB, exhaust fan with external ducting, bathroom light fitting with IP44 moisture rating, shaver socket where applicable.
Scope 5
Moisture-resistant false ceiling for wet areas — PVC or moisture-resistant gypsum board — with cove or recessed lighting integrated.
Scope 6
Mirror or mirror cabinet, vanity lighting above mirror, glass shower enclosure or screen where applicable, threshold and door seal.

Timeline: Design + BOQ sign-off: 1–2 weeks. Material procurement: 1–2 weeks (overlaps with design). Standard attached bathroom (50–80 sqft): 15–25 working days. Larger master baths (100–150 sqft): 25–35 working days. Total from decision to handover: approximately 6–10 weeks.
| Scope | Small attached (40–60 sqft) | Master bath (80–120 sqft) | Large / luxury (120–200 sqft) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surface refresh | ₹1.5L – ₹2.5L | ₹2.5L – ₹4L | ₹4L – ₹7L |
| Full renovation | ₹2.5L – ₹4.5L | ₹4.5L – ₹8L | ₹8L – ₹16L |
| Premium renovation | ₹4.5L – ₹7L | ₹7L – ₹14L | ₹14L – ₹30L+ |
Surface refresh: tiles over tiles, new fittings only. Full renovation: break + waterproof + tile + fittings. Premium: adds glass enclosure, vanity, stone. Costs include labour, materials, and project management. Excludes structural wall changes, plumbing line extension beyond 6 feet, and floor-to-ceiling height changes.
Yes, with planning. A single attached bathroom renovation is typically tolerable — you use the other bathroom for 15–25 days and we work in defined shifts. If you are renovating all bathrooms simultaneously, we'd advise staying elsewhere for 2–3 weeks. We will be honest about the dust, noise, and inconvenience — it is real, and the best response is a clear timeline so you know when it ends.
Tile over tile means we apply new tiles directly over existing tiles without breaking. This is faster and cheaper, but only works if (a) the existing tiles are firmly bonded — no hollow spots, (b) the floor level is not already raised, and (c) there is no waterproofing failure beneath. If there is any leakage history, the full break is mandatory. We assess and tell you honestly which your bathroom needs.
We handle procurement. You make the selection — we can accompany you to the tile market (Mehrauli, Okhla, Kirti Nagar depending on your location) or work from samples we bring to your home. All materials are procured on your behalf with invoices in your name.
We typically specify Kohler, American Standard, Jaquar, and Grohe — all have dealer networks in Delhi NCR, accessible spare parts, and reliable after-sales. We avoid unbranded CP fittings and second-tier brands that look identical in the showroom but fail within 2–3 years. We will tell you the honest cost difference and let you decide.
Two years on workmanship — including tile adhesion, grout integrity, fitting installation, and false ceiling. If a tile delaminates, a fitting leaks at the joint, or the waterproofing fails within two years, we rectify it. Manufacturer warranty on fittings applies per each brand's standard terms.
It depends on the size, the scope (surface refresh vs full break-and-redo), and the finish level. A 60-sqft attached bathroom full renovation starts at approximately ₹2.5L with mid-range fittings and tiles. A full master bathroom renovation with premium fittings runs ₹7L–₹14L. We give you an itemised BOQ before any work begins, so the number you see on day one is the number you pay.
Tell us about your bathroom. Size, current state, what you want changed. We'll come back to you within 24 hours with initial thoughts and a next step — whether that's a site visit, a video call, or a Space Audit that covers the bathroom as part of a broader home assessment.
